This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior nurse to join the Trauma, Orthopaedic, Burns and Plastics division. The post will be primarily based at Wythenshawe hospital in south Manchester with the expectation of working across Withington and the Oxford Road campus . Reporting directly to the the Heads of Nursing, the post holder will work closely Matron team within the Division. We are looking for an exceptional nurse leader who is experienced, innovative, and committed to excellence in all aspects of the role of a senior nurse. You will be an experienced senior nurse who has held previous leadership roles within urgent and emergency care and possess a proven record of delivering high quality care for patients. You will be a highly visible leader, able to evidence how you have positively influenced nursing and patient care and have experience of change management. As a Lead Nurse you will ensure robust risk and clinical governance management systems are in place, providing safe and high-quality care for patients whilst supporting staff wellbeing and development in their workplace. You will have exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to command credibility. The patient safety and experience will be a priority for you with an emphasis on compassion and dignity. You will work closely with and be supported by an experienced and committed Divisional, clinical and management team. You will be joining and overseeing an established team of 2 matrons, who are responsible for taking forward the nursing vision as well as being highly involved in service improvement and performance. The successful candidate should be clinically credible and able to manage competing priorities . You will be enthusiastic, with strong leadership and people management skills. You must be able to demonstrate evidence-based practice and knowledge of the current healthcare agenda. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience of management at 8A level and substantial leadership experience, ongoing professional development and ready for your next step on the nursing career ladder.
